About Ceremony of Love

At the heart of Ceremony of Love are Janice Midkiff and her husband of over 30 years, Bill Hedrick—life partners, kindred spirits, and co-creators of countless love stories. For more than 16 years, they’ve called Lake Tahoe and Sedona home, drawn to the breathtaking landscapes and peaceful energy of these sacred places.
Together, they built Ceremony of Love with a simple but powerful vision: to create intimate, meaningful weddings rooted in beauty, presence, and connection. Whether overlooking Lake Tahoe or standing among Sedona’s red rocks, each ceremony reflects the spirit and soul of the couple.
Janice is a nondenominational minister and seasoned coordinator who has officiated weddings since 1998. She brings a calm, grounded presence and listens deeply to what matters most to you. Her joy is helping couples find a location that truly reflects their love—whether a quiet natural setting or a cozy indoor space.
She specializes in creating unforgettable ceremonies in both outdoor and indoor locations and knows these regions intimately. Whether you’re drawn to a red rock sanctuary, a lakeside vista, a charming indoor venue, or a dramatic Sedona Pink Jeep location, Janice will help you find the perfect place to say “I do.”
Ceremony of Love also offers access to trusted nondenominational ministers, skilled photographers, and talented florists who share Janice’s heartfelt approach. Every package includes location guidance and personalized coordination—so you can relax and truly enjoy your special day.
She will also guide you through the simple process of obtaining your marriage license and is happy to answer any questions along the way.
Although Bill is no longer actively working due to a Huntington’s diagnosis, he continues to be a steady, loving presence behind the scenes. His quiet encouragement, perspective, and shared vision continue to inspire the care Janice brings to every ceremony.
Because to them, love isn’t just something to celebrate—it’s something sacred to honor.
